Every borehole job starts with getting steel to site. Drill rods are long, heavy and unforgiving of a badly built carrier — so we build the trailers that haul them the same way we build the rigs: on our own floor in Mokopane, from plate up.

Folds down flat for transport

This is the part that makes the difference on the road: the trailers fold down flat for transport. Empty, they stop being a tall, awkward load and become a low flat one — so getting the trailer to and from site is no longer its own logistics problem.

How they are made

Each trailer starts as a 3D CAD design. From there the plate goes to CNC plasma cutting, the frame is joined with heavy-duty welding, and the machined parts are finished on the mill. That sequence is the whole point of doing it in-house — the design, the cutting and the welding answer to the same people, so what comes off the floor is what was drawn.

Built rugged and simple

These trailers are deliberately uncomplicated. Harsh African drilling conditions punish anything clever for its own sake, so the design stays rugged and simple — built to handle the roads and tracks our customers actually drill on, and to get a load of steel to site safely.
