The JCD400T is a compact, fully hydraulic crawler core drilling rig for mineral exploration
and geological coring. It pulls wireline core in HTW, NTW and BTW sizes — 500 m on BTW,
400 m on NTW — with the inner tube coming up on the wire, not on the rods. Fewer trips,
more metres cored per shift.
Tow it, drop the legs, drill. The JCD400T carries the exact same drilling package as the crawler JCD400 on a road-tow trailer chassis — hitch it behind a bakkie or truck, move between sites at road speed, and set up on the hydraulic outriggers in minutes. Same rig, lower cost, faster relocation on accessible sites.
Hydraulic everything. A 70 kW YUCHAI turbocharged diesel drives a
20 MPa / 160 L/min hydraulic system — feed, rotation, lifting and clamping are all
hydraulically driven. The 1 900 mm feed stroke and 14-ton pull-up handle stuck rods
and hard ground without drama. Prefer Cummins power? The engine can be changed to a
Cummins diesel on request — just ask when you enquire.
Mud pump and hoist on board. The integrated BW-100 pump delivers up to
100 L/min at 7 MPa for clean cuttings removal, and the 600 kg rope hoist with 600 m of rope
handles the wireline work. At 4.3 tons and 4.2 m long it moves on a drop-side truck.
